| Scope | This presentation shows the new concepts of the cdma2000 High Rate Packet Data System, with particular emphasis on the Forward link. The coding structure of the traffic channel is shown, along with the Time Division Multiplex structure of Forward link transmissions. The topic of capacity is covered, showing how the Forward link capacity of this system compares with other wireless systems. Because of the similarity to cdma2000, the reverse link is covered without going into many details. It is assumed that the audience has some familiarity with CDMA systems, either through industry experience or from the Concepts of CDMA paper, preferably the advanced training version. |
